What I liked
Please note this is in relation to the Eye Clinic at Orsett Hospital which is not on the above list.
The junior doctor asked advice from the consultant who came and examined me and changed the diagnosis. A generally relaxed atmosphere.
What could be improved
The waiting room door was wedged permanently open. This meant that everything that was said in answer to the initial screening questions and eyesight test could be heard by everyone in the waiting room. My wife who was waiting for me verified this. I was asked about personal medical history and the responses to my eyesight test were audible to all. Although I had no problems that might be "embarrassing" I'm sure some might. It beggars belief that this practice is deemed acceptable in a time when patients are screaming out to be treated with dignity and respect and of course expectant of privacy. It costs nothing to close a door!
