"8 days for the next available appointment"

Firstly, Kildonan house must be the most over subscribed surgery in the UK. Never have I been able to attain an appointment within three days of a call. To make matters worse, when calling first thing, there is generally no answer and when eventually getting through, all appointments are allocated for the day.

I have records showing I have called 42 times before an answer, with the resulting call saying if we were desperate we should just go to A&E. The aforementioned situation resulted in my son being treated for Sepsis/Meningitis after the surgery could not get him in for 4 days.

Myself, an asthma sufferer, has today, Monday 14th January, been told there are no appointments until Tuesday 22nd January. My response was I am struggling to breathe now. I'm amazed I wasn't told to go directly to A&E.
