"NHS Admin"

Drs and nurses at Lincoln Hospital are amazing. They are compassionate with s lovely manner and totally let down by the admin.

The admin at Lincoln is disgusting. I waited 5 months to get an app for a biopsy for suspected Crohns Disease, after having a pill camera procedure. In the end my surgery kept ringing and I at last got an appointment. I turned up and was told it had been cancelled and that I had been sent a letter. The letter was dated and postmarked the day of the appointment and arrived 3 days later.

I had to drive for an hour and a half to get to the hospital. I was told that I had not turned up for a previous appointment. The surgery had phoned up 2 days before this aforementioned so-called missed appointment and was told there was no date for an appointment ( All documented by surgery) I received no letter for this appointment and when the hospital admin phoned me for the following  appointment  (the one cancelled on arrival), they had apologised and said that an appointment had been made earlier  but no letter sent.

My Dr's surgery requested the missed appointment be removed from my DNA on-line. I finally got an appointment and saw Dr Gupta and he requested an appointment for a colonoscopy and biopsy for me. I was then sent an appointment with another outpatient Dr, although already seen by Dr Gupta ( this was a duplicate not for the procedure) and Dr Gupta's secretary had to sort it out finally getting  an appointment for Jan 2019, having waited for biopsy since mid August - which was 7 weeks after pill camera procedure, when my GP had told me it was suspected Crohns and that I had to have a biopsy.
