My daughter was a patient under maternity services . She is 30 weeks pregnant and became seriously ill over the xmas period after contracting a life threatening case of sepsis. The care she received and continues to receive from triage, antenatal, high dependency and day care was outstanding. As a nurse/midwife/neonatal nurse/prescriber and matron over a 35 year career I am well aware of exactly what treatment she needed and how serious this condition was for both her and her baby. All the staff were thorough, efficent, professional and kind and I believe without the quick observant actions of both medical and nursing staff we may as a family be facing a much more heartbreaking outcome. They deserve high praise indeed, especially as it was over xmas period which made it much more difficult for us as a family and particularly for her 3 year old son whom they made very welcome in a frightening situation.
"Excellent care"
