"Bad night experience."

About: East Surrey Hospital

It's as I start writing this e-mail 23:48. I'm quite unwell in a fair amount of pain and have seemingly no chance of sleep. The main light in the ward is still brightly on I could be sunbathing it's that bright! There is also a large amount of noise from patients who are clearly agitated and confused. I appreciate the difficulties of an overburdened system but these patients would be better suited to a ward more equipped for their needs. Is it really necessary for the nurses to talk full volume at now 23:54. I think sleep should be valued higher. Perhaps if people were allowed to sleep then they might even get better quicker!

Thank you for your feedback.

I am sorry that you have had a difficult time on one of the inpatient wards at East Surrey Hospital. If you would like to contact me on nicola.shopland@nhs.net I would be happy to look into your concerns further.

kind regards
