"Kidney stones"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Emergency Department Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / General surgery Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Urology

(as the patient),

On Tuesday morning I was rushed in to treliske hospital in so much pain I was seen straight away and given some pain relief after tests and scans I was told I had kidney stones I was then moved to st mews and the staff were fab I was kept to be on strong pain relief and see if I could pass the stones by the next morning I was still pain so it was decided I would have key hole surgery to place a stent. I went for the operation that afternoon. Then was taken to the Eden ward to be kept in over night the staff they were also friendly and ready to help. I was so well looked after I can't thank them enough

Dear Gina34,

Thank you for your post. I am sorry to hear you were so unwell, but glad that we were able to deal with your pain immediately and that your condition was dealt with and treated that same day.

This is the care that we as a Trust aspire to achieve and I am grateful as I am sure my colleagues on St Mawes and Eden ward are, that you took the time to post your comment outlining the excellent care that you received.

I hope you are making a speedy recovery.

Kind Regards

Jane
