After years of pain and Psoriasis my GP ran more bloods and refered me to Rheumatology in November. I had my appointment on Monday. The Consultant spent less than 10 minutes with me. Briefly examined my hands and told me that my symptoms don't fit arthritis. I showed photos of swelling and I was told I might think my I'm swollen just because I'm sore but it's not always the case. Then they brought up the fact I have suffered with Depression in the past and I might feel pain because of my low mood. I've not been on Anti Depressants in over 5 years! I now have to wait 2-3 months to be seen again and have my blood tests discussed. I wouldn't do a 140 mile round trip unless I was in pain but left feeling like the consultant thought I was making it up.
