I am heavily pregnant with only 6 weeks to go. I have to travel by public transport to the hospital and I live in the middle of nowhere so it’s impossible for me to get there quick. Recently was the first time ever I forgot my notes due to terrible pregnancy symptoms like vomiting all day long and nausea. I asked to be still seen for my appointment without the notes after vomiting all morning and travelling 2 hours to get there. I was told I will not be seen and I have to reschedule for the next appointment in 4 weeks time. I have a heart condition and under active thyroid. They told me they don’t keep any record on the system and all is written in notes only so if I don’t have them on me they won’t see me. I find it unprofessional and very unhelpful. I believe the hospital has a terrible system because if you lose the notes what happens then? What happens if something goes wrong in the next 4 weeks waiting for the next appointment? And so close to giving birth. I believe the receptionists should be trained to recognise that those things can happen. We are all human we are allowed to make a mistake once and forget something once. However this is not the first time that receptionists were rude and unsympathetic. If I could I would change the hospital immidiately. During the last 7 months I have not had even one pleasant appointment. The delays are sometimes 3 hours long. The appointments are never on time. Admin staff are very rude. Facilities are dirty.
