I was taken to a&e on Friday 4th January by ambulance with borderline sepsis. From the moment the ambulance crew arrived i received A* care.
I was assessed immediately, and found to have flu and pneumonia. A&E was extremely busy and under extreme pressure with the amount of patients that arrived whilst I was there, yet the moral and care was amazing. I was seen in under 4hrs but had to be admitted to Mau so had to wait for a bed but due to winter pressues there weren't any available so they moved patients into a quiet area of the hospital, where we looked after by a Dr, nurses and hca etc. Everything was explained to me and i received excellent care despite them having to juggle continuously all night. I moved to mau at 01.30 am. Thank you so much to all the consultants, Dr's, anp's, nurses, hca's care assistants and porters on that night you all deserve a medal for your dedication.
"Outstanding care under extreme pressure."
