"Excellent"

About: Yeovil District Hospital

What I liked

My close relative was admitted to A&E with sudden heart problems. All of the staff were very competent and caring and explained each step that was being taken. My relative was only in A&E for about 1 hour and was then moved to CCU, where urgent treatment was given on the same day. The staff communicated well together and included my relative in everything. Both departments deserve huge praise for their excellent level of care.

What could be improved

The CCU environment at night was very noisy - perhaps other patients could be asked to turn their TV off by midnight?

Anything else?

A very frightening and unnerving situation was made bearable by the professional and caring staff in A&E and CCU - thank you all very much.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us and I will pass your thanks on to our staff in A&E and CCU. I will also ask them to look into the CCU environment at night to see what can be done about late night TV watchers!!! Hoping that your relative is making a good recovery.
