I visited triage while bleeding at 40 weeks and 4 days pregnant. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left provided us with the greatest care I could have ever imagined.
I don’t feel this hospital gets the recognition it deserves at times and this is why I feel I need to post on care opinion.
I was understandably anxious while bleeding as late on in pregnant yet I was put at ease and given in depth investigation to ensure myself and my baby were safe. The midwives and doctors were so professional, they explained everything in depth to me so I fully understood what what happening and why. This allowed me to relax and process everything and kept my partner and I calm.
I ended up having to get induced to ensure the safe arrival of my baby. In the labor ward I had the most amazing midwife Rachel who went above and beyond her role; She was excellent and I honestly had the beat experience of labor because of this girl. Again everything was explained to us in depth, consent was gained at all times, she helped us stay focused, calm and relaxed until our baby girl arrived safely. Rachel also went above and beyond her role particularly after my partner left to go home in the early hours ;she helped me wash, dried and settled after the birth; she packed all my things for me and helped me get my baby dressed and settled. It may not read as a big deal, however it helped me in ways I can’t describe. Despite Rachel doing this job daily she made my experience unique and nothing was any trouble for her and the other midwives and doctors that supported us.
The support in the post natal ward for the next 2 days was also outstanding . I wish I could remember every persons name to thank them individually but I can’t. I just hope this feedback reaches them so they know how much of an amazing job they do on a daily basis. Yous are fantastic, knowledgable and kind and you are all a credit to the NHS. Well done ❤️
