I’ve finally just gotten round to giving this feedback about Forthview GPs which should have been done months ago. Cutting a long story short last April I became very unwell and was diagnosed with Epstein Barr Virus and it appeared to be a really awful case. I was so so unwell and was off work for months (working for the nhs myself this drove me crazy!). I attended my GP surgery after getting an emergency appointment and was seen by Dr Campbell who was very thorough in his investigation and had the confirmation of EBV within 2 days. I was seen regularly over the next few months by him, having bloods/fatigue reviewed etc and I cannot praise him enough for the care and support I received through, for me, a really horrendous illness. Unfortunately he moved on from the practice but had informed me of this at my last appointment with him. He also advised he had discussed my case with his colleagues. I then saw Dr Mcgettigon and Dr Chriton (sorry if I have misspelled!) a few times who also gave me excellent advice and support as everyone I seen knew how keen I was to get back to work.
So basically I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all three of these people, you are all a credit to the NHS.
Thanks again.
"Excellent care and support"
