The nurse who looked after me did a good job overall but she seemed to spend a lot of time preparing things rather than looking after me. In the end I gave birth more on my own rather than something th the help of the nurse.
It seemed a whole lot more important for the staff to write things down on the tablet than to actually look after the patients. The wheelchair was jammed and I couldn't be transferred between wards and I had to walk with the baby in my arms imedeatly after giving birth, the nurse having to carry all of my belongings.
In the maternity ward I was insistently disturbed by various members of staff with different pitty questions... after being through labour this is the last thing you want, especially for things that can be done in one visit by a nurse. ... check my pulse, 10 minutes later check my temperature, then come again to check my pulse by someone else and so on.
