"This is the best hospital I have been in"

About: CAMHS Developmental Disorder (Northampton) / Fern

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I would like monkey bars in the courtyard.

The ward is brilliant and the staff are helpful. The things we do, like going out, are good.

This is the best hospital I have been in and the patient’s are very caring.

Monkey bars in the courtyard:

We have a meeting every month called Fitzroy Forum, this is a meeting for all the young people to have a voice. There is a representative from each ward that attends and raises any concerns or ideas how to make your stay with us better. I will take this to the next meeting to see what everyone else thinks of your proposal this will fed back in the wards community meeting and recorded in the minutes.

There will be issues regarding risk with installing monkey bars in the courtyards; however as an IPU we facilitate climbing at an outside venue, this is open to all the young people in Fitzroy House.

This is the best hospital I have been in and the patient’s are very caring.

I appreciate this is a great hospital and you have been able to develop good therapeutic relationships with the patients. I would hope you are getting support from your peers too.

We have just employed activity coordinators for each ward to support meaningful activities for all the young people. I please to see they have made a positive impact on the ward.

The IPU believes inclusivity and will always give respect to all who work for it or live within it.
