"Care of my father"

About: Bromley Healthcare / Occupational therapy for adults Princess Royal University Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as a relative),

My mother has asked me to feed back on the helpful, kind and professional care given to my father in the last few weeks. This was provided by Kevin - physio and Jenny - occupational health.

Following the time my father was discharged from hospital in July 2018, it was very difficult for my mother to deal with his considerable  disability. My mother, the doctor, myself and the community team  all followed up the referral which took months, By the time my dad was visited by the team mum had had to manage and work out strategies to coke and it would beloved enormously if visits could have been arranged sooner back in August.

This Feedback is given to be constructive as we all understand rne pressures on the NHS and thank the suoerb team for their help.

Dear JCB67

Thank you so much for your feedback. We will certainly ensure that both Jenny and Kevin see the wonderful comments that you have made regarding the care that they have provided to your father and mother.

We are very concerned to read of the difficulty that you have had a family with the referral following your fathers discharge from Hospital last July.

In order that we can understand and investigate this issue, I would be most grateful if you would kindly consider contacting me, Julie Miller at Julie.miller5@Nhs.net or if you prefer you are welcome to ring me on 0208 315 8791.

By providing the details we can try and ensure that future patients do not experience a similar delay.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year.

With Kindest regards

Julie

Hello and Happy New Year to you.

I am glad that you received such kind and professional care for your father whilst he was at the PRUH.

However, sorry to hear about delays in getting things sorted once he had been discharged. I will be passing your comments on.

With kind regards.

Jessica
