"Excellent maternity care"

About: North Devon District Hospital

I have just had my first baby at North Devon District Hospital and was blown away by the skills, knowledge, care and expertise. Complication picked up early in day assessment unit, emergency cesarian organised straight away and recovery amazing non Basset Ward. Able to return home the next day so recovering well at home now. Massive thanks to the midwife who picked up on complication and the doctor for surgery, as well as everyone else in team who cared for us.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us and for the positive feedback regarding maternity services at the North Devon District Hospital (NDDH).

I am pleased you were impressed with the midwife who identified the complication and the doctor who performed the Caesarean section. This must have been a worrying time for you and I am glad you were well cared for by the team.

It is good to know that you were able to return home the next day and I hope you continue to recover well and enjoy life with your new baby.

I have forwarded on your comments to the Service Manager where they will be warmly received and shared with staff.

Kind regards

Jayne
