"Elgin Community Surgery"

About: General Practices in Grampian

(as a relative),

Since 1996, my husband had been under the care of the Elgin Community Surgery having had a triple heart bypass. The level of care administered by the whole team, but particularly Dr Mark, Nurse Diane, Heart Failure Nurse Kirsty and Advanced Nurse Practitioner Tim, over the years until his passing in December 2018 has been nothing short of exemplary. The time taken to check in on myself whilst he was in hospital was of tremendous help. The regular check-ups at the house were of great comfort as well as an opportunity to enable him to laugh and interact with the Community nurses.

Thank you from the family for your care.

Dear Lossie Lady,

Thank you for writing to us and sharing you and your husband’s story at what must be a difficult time for you and your family. Please accept my condolences for your loss.

The team at Elgin Community Surgery, especially Dr Mark, Nurse Diane, Nurse Kirsty and ANP Tim (who I'm sure will feel very humbled to have received a special mention), will most likely say they were just doing their jobs, but your comments let us see how important their efforts were in bringing great comfort, a wee bit of laughter and hopefully some happy memories.

Thanks again for getting in touch – I’ll make sure this is shared with everyone involved.

Take care,

Kirsten

The team at Elgin were delighted to receive your story and have asked that I post this on their behalf:

'The Elgin Community Surgery team members very much appreciated your kind words. We strive to provide a high standard of care to all of our patients and it is always lovely to receive thank you messages from our patients.
