"Disgusting treatment of a baby and new mum"

About: Scunthorpe General Hospital

After distressing my newborn with eye drops and prising his eyes open I took my baby outside to the waiting room and started to discreetly breast feed him to calm him. A nurse promptly came over and pointed at the disabled toilet and said do you want to go some where more private? I told her no because I'm not feeding my baby in a toilet I'm sure she doesn't eat her lunch in a toilet. She replied by saying that I need to cover up then because there are men about and they won't like it. I am shocked an appauled. Surely in 2018 and in a hospital of all places a mum should be able to feed her distressed baby wherever she wants. I am going to take this further but want people to be aware just how breastfeeding mums are treated by so called health professionals.
