"The NHS 2 for 1 offer, whatever you have plus..."

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital

What I liked

The Food was actually quite good.

What could be improved

Where on earth do you start. Doctors and Nurses have an air of superiority about them which often far outweighs their skills for the job and leads them to believe they are above reproach. They consider the well informed patient to be a pain and those who research illnesses and medication to be over informed as they delay consultations by asking too many pertinent questions regarding their prognosis.

The only danger to the NHS in the UK is the institutionalised employee’s who work for the NHS, because they will certainly bring this magnificent creation to its knee’s if allowed to.

Anything else?

A family member of ours recently had a medical complication and was rushed in and kept in Worcester Acute Hospital until the Hospital staff could provide a transfer to Birmingham for further treatment.

Meanwhile, NOROvirus took hold of the ward and the possibility of a transfer was delayed because our family member caught the Noro Virus on that ward.

Once over the virus our family member asked if it would be safer to go home and wait to be called into Birmingham rather than to risk another strain of NOVO. The NHS staff said that the position our family member has in the queue would be lost if our family member went home.

Hopefully the NHS staff at WAH can cotinue to monitor and treat the existing problem and provide a transfer to Birmingham asap.

We apologise if this is the impression that was given and we would hope that all patients are fully orientated and engaged with their care plan. Complaints about the vascular service are rare and the vascular service which covers Herefordshire and Worcestershire is recognised nationally as a centre producing some of the best clinical outcomes for the patients managed in this complex specialty. We would welcome the chance to investigate this further and would be happy to discuss your experience with you so that we may do so.
