"Children’s A&E"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

I had to bring my daughter in last night 13/12/18 following a seizure. The children’s A&E was busy but the staff were kind and caring when seeing to my daughter Sophie. Following seeing the lovely junior sister Sophie fell asleep again but 10 minutes into sleeping she suddenly had a second seizure. I called for help and within seconds the staff and doctors were at my side carrying my daughter to safety. Once in resus they set to work on her and kept me calm. Sophie came round and was sent to the children’s unit ward A x I’d like to thank all the staff that helped me last night especially the junior sister and two nurses, one who was on nights on the ward and the other who was on days x thank you for taking such wonderful care of my little girl and me.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent visit to the Children's Emergency Department and Children's Unit Ward side A at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital following your daughter's seizure.

It is lovely to receive such positive feedback regarding the care and service your daughter received during her visit and we are delighted to pass this on to the staff who will very much appreciate your comments as they always strive to deliver safe, personal & effective care.

If you would like to provide us with further information about your experience then we would really value this so that we can try to make it like this for every patient visiting our hospitals and using our services.
