"The best of the worst situation."

About: BPAS Doncaster Clinic

From the appointment of my consultation, I was reassured without being judged. I was nervous as I was unsure of what to expect and was unsure on what my options were being 18 weeks at the time of my consultation. I was reassured that everything will be fine considering the situation. I was terrified that the only option I had was to be put to sleep but giving how far on I was I was unable to have any of the other treatments available. I attended the day before my surgical procedure to have the first part of my procedure completed and was told to return the next day for my procedure. Both of these appointments were made a week after my consultation due to how far on I was. I returned the next day to be met by the lady who did my consultation with me, which put me at ease knowing a face and was told I would be looked after and kept a look out for so that the same midwife could discharge me. I was then again reassured as by this point I was a nervous crying wreck. I waited for not long in the waiting room which was filled with people all in the same situation as me, and since being taken up the stairs, I had the loveliest team I could have wished for especially the lovely healthcare assistants, down to meeting the surgeon. I was reassured by each and every one of them and was definitely put at ease, me being such a nervous emotional wreck aside and the situation. I had my hand help being put to sleep and that was the last I knew, I woke up not long after in the recovery where I was kept an eye on and then taken downstairs to have myself checked over. It was definitely the most loveliest experience I have had, in a bad situation although I won’t be returning again I would definitely recommend the actual happiness and friendliness I received from the staff. Cannot thank them enough!
