"Outstanding care and support"

About: Borders General Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I was recently taken in to labour ward/ward 17 for chest pains and shortness of breath in my pregnancy after my GP referred me for further investigations. I am a higher risk for clots and the midwifery staff and doctors could not have been nicer or more reassuring to me. Not only caring for me but also making sure my baby was happy and healthy. They made me feel so reassured and at regardless how silly my question was. The midwifes looking after me went above and beyond to reassure me and find what was going on. Such a huge thank you to your amazing team in ward 17 and labour ward. I am so grateful to everything you did for me in the past 3 days and cant wait to have my baby in your outstanding care in March!

Thank you so much for your kind comments. Pregnancy can be an anxious time and I am delighted to hear you felt well cared for and reassured that both you and you baby are well.

It is important that you feel well supported and we are very happy to answer any question as no question is too big or too small.

Best wishes with the remainder of your pregnancy

Shona
