A dump of a department, old equipment. Luckily they moved to a new refurbished department at Castle Hill, however all new and clean does not make a better service.
Luckily I am no longer a patient there, I will sort my own treatment, 2 of the doctors are really nice however they don’t seem to be allowed to make their own decisions. 3 people making decisions together all with different opinions does not inspire any confidence,
When spending NHS money which incidentally does NOT come out of you’re own pocket, it’s people like me who contribute from working, perhaps it’s worth noting complexity and cost should not be priority, the patient is the main priority, quality of care. Surely Doctors swear by an oath either the Hippocratic Oath or an updated GMC one. Perhaps they all need reminding throughout their careers of exactly why they chose to become doctors/consultants and reflect on this.
