"No compassion"

About: Sidcup Medical Centre

I can NEVER call them and get through. I've ALWAYS had to walk in and book an appointment.

So, this is in respect of my baby's immunisation. All children have them, no child likes them.

He's 4 months old, had the big needle and was in a lot of pain. The nurse, already running 10minutes late through no fault of ours, rushed the injections, everything was a big rush, a force of turning our baby - to her a ragdoll - Needle in, needle out. Baby cries, chuck us out, next in!

Rather than giving us 1 minute to just place our baby in the carrycot and give our baby a little calpol to help, the nurse ushered us out of the room and into the tiny corridor. Conveyor belt comes to mind. Screaming child in hand. Absolutely livid.

I don't drive, nor do I live next door. So a 10minute walk up the road to a café, to be able to sit my child down and give calpol is just totally unacceptable.

Dear Parent,

We are sorry to hear that your experience with the nurse when you brought in your little baby was not satisfactory. Could I request you to please contact me at the Church Avenue surgery so that I can look into this in detail? Unfortunately as you have posted an anonymous comment I am unable to look into the specific details of your appointment.

Regards
