I had major surgery on my colon and stomach to remove a tumour. I was in Lyme Ward for 12 days.
In that 12 days I have to applaud the care and dedication of the Lyme Ward nursing staff. They had some awful things to do but they went about it with a smile on their faces. Myself and the other patients were at their lowest ebbs following harrowing surgery. The way they were and the way they went about their duties perked me up and probably aided my recovery. A couple of the Auxiliaries had over 20 years experience, so there's no way they just do it for the money. Its a calling and I take my hat off to them.
"I have to applaud the care and dedication"
