"I saw a lovely Neurologist"

About: Eastbourne District General Hospital

My Dr referred me to neurology for my migraines. I was sent a self referral letter and made my own appointment. Which meant my wait time was 2 months. Not bad! I was very nervous as I know some neurologists have negative thoughts about Fibromyalgia, BUT! The gentleman I saw was entirely focused on my migraine issue and was so lovely. I left feeling like I had been listened to. And after reading these reviews I can honestly say I was terrified. And so I thought I'd leave one of my own. I know it's hard and sometimes we really aren't listened to, but I think it's important to remember to leave good reviews too. I may update at a later date.

The Trust works hard to provide a high standard of care to all patients, and we are delighted to learn this was your experience. It is important to us patients are treated with the values of kindness, compassion, dignity and respect, and so it is reassuring to read that the member of staff you saw gave full attention to the issue of your migraine, and left you feeling you had been taken seriously and had been listened to. It is often these simple acts that give patients confidence in staff and services at what can sometimes be worrying or upsetting times. We also hope that your appointment has facilitated further tests or examinations that may be required to help assist you with your migraines, and wish you all the very best for your onward care pathway.
