Just attempted to have my ears syringed today for the second week now after I was advised to use "olive oil" to help clear them out prior to syringing. Instead, I was advised by the pharmacist in Greenford to purchase Otex as that was a lot stronger than just simply using olive oil (is that seriously a remedy ? ..)
I attempted to use the Otex once every day after work as I didn't have time to do it as well in the morning, especially with no-one to aid me in doing so.
I then went back this afternoon for the second week now just to see if she cleared up her attitude - turns out it wasn't. Either she's had another rough day or just clearly doesn't love her job as a nurse & I wonder if she's the same to other patients with her tone. She practically handled my ears aggressively & was damn impatient in giving orders to hold the cup next to my ear & just get it over with.
Now I have to go back next week for the third time now, & attempt to use the Otex (or olive oil ..) in the hopes that she won't berate me again for not believing in my efforts to use it frequently (& correctly) in order to maximise the wax removal.
Its just a shame really that you can't just be nice to people & expect to be treated the same way, both with courtesy & professionalism - & not responding to "Hello" & instead being on your smartphone as soon as you walk in the door is a definite indicator of the wrong attitude.
Lets see how next week goes.
"Arrogant & impatient nurse who clearly doesn't..."
