"Nurse on AAU ward overworked - but still caring..."

About: Northwick Park Hospital

Anything else?

My father was taken into hospital this weekend. I went to see him on AAU ward.

One nurse was staffing 2 wards, quite frantic as most of the patients needed attention and one patient seemed to have memory problems hence the Nurse had to ensure he did not go anywhere.

She was a true angel - working hard and at same time speaking to the patients like they should be spoken to like normal humans, not a subject - all the time I watched her run from one ward to another - all the time she acknowledged everyone and was smiling all the time.

This was a true example of the caring nurses we have in the NHS at the front line coping with budget cuts, doing the work of many and never complaining. I praise this lady.

Thank you for your feedback and your kind comments in relation to a nurse on AAU. This will be passed on to the nursing management team for the area concerned.
