"A brilliantly supportive family doctor"

I have recently taken each of my two adopted teenagers to see Dr Thomson regarding sleep difficulties and mental health problems. I was really struck by how she listened to them and the questions she asked. She put each of them at ease and got them talking and that is no small feat when it comes to my 15 year old son! Her compassion for them was so genuine, and her comments warmly encouraging. She referred both children to other services but also offered further support while they were waiting.

I saw Dr Thomson myself in November 2018 also regarding sleep difficulties and my mental health. I felt she really cared about me and my family and again was very supportive and encouraging. She offered solutions and involved me in making those decisions, as well as asking after my family. 

We found out that she's leaving the practice and we will really miss her! She is the best GP we've had here.
