About: Salisbury District Hospital

What could be improved

Basic care and compassion by the staff - I was shaken, upset and in pain folllowing a fall. Whilst I appreciate the need to prioritise patients in Aand E, even a smile or eye contcat from the staff would have helped reassure me whilst I waited.

Increased professionalism from some members of staff within the department - it appeared to me to be inappropriate for nurses to discuss the pronunciation of my name, details of the accident and the film 'The Hangover' within my earshot, whilst I was waiting (still shaken, upset and in pain) and without realising that I was there.
