"Maternity wards - outstanding"

At the beginning of the year (2018) I was diagnosed with liver lesions. Shortly after finding the lesions I found out I was pregnant with my first baby. The midwife agreed I should have shared care throughout my pregnancy and advised I see a consultant. I cannot thank this consultant enough for her help and support during my pregnancy, she ensured I was scanned regularly and also ensured my liver was also regularly checked for the safety of myself and my baby. Sometimes my liver function would be raised or irregular but the consultant always reassured me of mine and my baby’s safety. The consultant also did my C-Section as she had promised which was absolutely fine and my scar is very neat and healed within weeks with no problems at all.

I also received the best care you could ask for by the theatre staff, midwives on labour and maternity wards including the assessment wards if I ever had any worries throughout my pregnancy.

To say I was nervous was an understatement not only was it my first baby but also with the lesions I was extras nervous. The support from the staff was amazing.

I would definitely recommend DMH and if I have any more children I will have no problem with going back here for my second delivery.
