I was due to have total knee replacement surgery my appointments prior to this were set booked time off from work then they got changed thought it couldn’t get worse went to have op only to be told it’s not possible and they will phone me in 2-3 days with new op date which they can’t promise will go through to say I’m annoyed is understatement if I go somewhere else I have to go to bottom of waiting list again ????????

Dear Patient,

I am sorry that your planned surgery was cancelled at very short notice and the proposed date changed in advance. Occasionally clinical priorities dictate that changes to planned admission must be considered. We avoid deferring surgery where possible; as we appreciate that every patient has plans for their recovery and work life. I hope that my team gave your accurate information that was available at the time.

I expect that by now we have negotiated with you a convenient date for your surgery, if this is not the case please let me know by contacting suzanne.steward@bmihealthcare.co.uk.

Again I apologise for the delay in your planned surgery
