(as a parent/guardian),

I would like to give my upmost thanks for the care that my daughter received after being rushed into hospital. We arrived into the St Mawes Lounge where we were reassured and looked after.  

My daughter who was just 16 was terrified and extremely unwell, all the staff were really lovely. We were transferred onto the St Mawes ward and one of the lovely nurses arranged for us to have our own room due to my daughters age.   She was diagnosed with glandular fever and we returned home 3 days later. I cannot fault the treatment and care she received and cannot thank everyone enough.

Dear Mrs LJM,

Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us, I am pleased to see that when you arrived on St Mawes Lounge, you were well looked after and felt reassured. This must have been a very scary time for you and your daughter, I am glad to read that she is now home and I hope that she has made a full recovery.

I am replying to you as a member of the Patient and Family Experience Team but I will ensure that I share your story with the staff on St Mawes Lounge, I am sure they will enjoy reading it as I have.

Thank you for your reply Jess. Yes please pass on to the St Mawes Lounge staff and also those on St Mawes Ward. They were all so lovely with my daughter and myself.
