"Thank you so much"

About: General practices in Lanarkshire Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department University Hospital Hairmyres / Respiratory Medicine (Ward 12)

(as the patient),

I suffered a severe asthma attack and was taken to a+e after my dr called a 999 ambulance for me, the receptionist Karen kept me calm until the paramedics came. I was so grateful.

The paramedics were very kind and reassuring and quickly got me admitted into Hairmyres where, at a+e, staff nurses Thomas and Caitlin took good care of me, HCSW called Chris was really kind to me also. I was taken for an x ray and onto a ward from my GP surgery within 3 hours.

I was on Ward 2 for my stay and the staff were just so amazing to me, nothing was a problem, even when I was emotional and probably being a bit of a drama queen, I took further asthma attacks and the staff went above and beyond to keep me calm and safe. In particular I would like to mention Ann who was so kind and caring towards me she was like a wee mammy to me on the ward. Thank you so much to all the nurses and staff in ward 2!
