"Lack of efficiency"

About: Princess Royal Hospital (Haywards Heath)

I have now been waiting for three and a half weeks for a letter about my first pregnancy scan. I have phoned the maternity department twice and both times I was told I was 'top of the pile' or 'my details were on the screen and the letter being completed'. I feel like I am an inconvenience and this is really upsetting. I appreciate there is a backlog but it's making me feel unsettled about going through my pregnancy with this hospital Trust. I have heard the admin side is just terrible and the service itself is faultless but I feel like the importance of this first scan to someone has been disregarded entirely and I've clearly just been fobbed off both times I have chased this up. Me and my partner dont feel we can enjoy what it meant to be a really special time until we have had this first scan.
