"Brain Aneurysm Clipping"

About: Charing Cross Hospital

I recently had a clipping for a large Aneurysm, I would like to highly commend the Neurology Team who are outstanding and did a wonderful job. I spent a day and a half in ICU and the standard of care is second to none. It was a tough time for me of course, but the Surgery very much needed

. This team deserves the highest accolade, for they are performing very intricate and risky surgery and to my mind - miracles.

I was then taken to a ward for the rest of my stay. I was given good care.

One thing that could have perhaps be done better was I was told 'you are going home today' without any previous warning. I was told that at 10 a.m and wasn't discharged until the evening, there were people sitting in the small waiting room all day and in distress, I wonder if it would be possible for the discharge to be a bit more streamlined.

Although I have friends none of them helped me at home, so it was not an easy transition.

I am now recovering well, and I am very pleased that within two weeks of this major surgery I am up and running (so to speak).
