My mum saw Mr Green ( Ortho surgeon)
He was fantastic in the clinic ,took his time with my mum who’s 77 and never been in hospital since the 80’s ! He explained all about knee replacement and by end of consultation my mum was put on the waiting list , saw a lovely OT the same day for assessment.
Couple of weeks later had pre assessment, that was another excellent experience, seen by nurses for bloods , ECG etc then pharmacist and anaesthetist all who answered any questions patiently and so kindly.
My mum then got a call a few weeks later ( this week) to offer her a cancellation for knee replacement. My mum took the appt
Today she attended at 7.30 am , met by lovely staff . Was advised she’d go to theatre 10.30 and by 4pm physio would be In to see her to get her up.
We were in the ward Post-op and sure enough the physio arrived 4pm on the dot to get her up . He was also so caring and professional.
Mr Green also came in and took his time explaining how surgery went and advice on how to recover well
Sophie her nurse was regularly checking on her and the pain nurse specialist came in too with advice .
I’ve just came home and felt I had to write down about the first class care provided by The Golden jubilee from first appointment through to admission today. We as a family are very relaxed knowing she’s having the best care and attention and want to pass on our thanks .
We’re expecting she’ll get home in a few days
