"6 hrs and counting"

About: Kettering General Hospital

Arrived with my mum at 9am and we have now traded the uncomfortable seating in AnE reception to even harder ones sat in EDU only been moved because we had sat for over 4 hrs with little to no progress or information, the Consultant was brilliant but let down badly by her ancillary staff who took over an hour to provide basic pain relief authorised by the doctor

I would love to say this is a one off but I myself have experienced this to little to late care twice in the last 8 yra.

Thank you for your comments regarding your recent visit to our Emergency Department. Firstly I am saddened to read them and I would like to apologise for your experience. It appears that the communication from staff was not what is expected. From seeing the consultant and being prescribed pain relief, this should have been given quicker. Your wait was also a long one. Our department can get very busy and can remain that way for some time. I am sorry for your experience and if you use our service again in the future I very much hope your experience is of a better nature.
