My wife Maureen was recently transferred from Medway Maritime hospital with acute kidney issues. She was installed on Marlowe Ward in an all female 6 bed unit.
We cannot put into words how grateful we both are for the exceptional and outstanding care she received during her almost 4 week stay.
All the staff were superb and made every attempt to rectify Maureen’s kidney issues. I would like to personally thank everyone who gave Maureen every chance to recover from her problems, from the doctors, nursing staff both on the ward and the dialysis unit, to the catering and cleaning staff. Everyone was superb and never faltered in their efforts and care.
Maureen is now attending Maidstone hospital renal unit 3 days a week for dialysis.
The consultant was very attentive and tried his very best to give Maureen ongoing quality of life, as were his assistant doctors. It’s impossible to express our thanks to everyone, and I mean everyone who looked after Maureen during her stay.
Sincere thanks to everyone. I hope this email is given and shown to the fantastic staff on Marlowe ward.
Kind and grateful thanks,
Gerald.
