First it was very easy to find the department, even though I had never been to this particular part of the hospital. Had only been there about 5 minutes when I was called in!
I was spoken to by the Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner.
I was treated as an individual and advised, after a short examination, of several avenues I could follow. So much better than being told you need physio or take more pills. Referral for a weight loss programme, a full history and questions regarding my health and my problems.
My G.P had already put the wheels in motion for a visit to the Pain Clinic.
There are so many weights that have been lifted off my shoulders, it’s so nice that I am not just being left to my own devices and someone took great interest into my struggles.
Such a fantastic service and I’m so glad, after all this time, I have filtered this way and ended up where I feel I should be.
Thank you.
