On the 6th of November 18, I had a right distal femoral osteotomy and patella femoral replacement. I was very pleased with my experience at Rugby St Cross. I can be a hard critic and combine that attitude with an innate crankiness when I’m not feeling well and the result can be much less than pleasant. I was so impressed with the Doctors, Nurses and Physio Therapist and it was amazing to be treated with professionalism and care. My daily check one particular doctor was an absolute delight full man and so good with patients I really appreciate his understanding and morning checks was always a happy time instead of a dread. My surgeon is my new hero – he did the most fantastic job on my leg and probably one of the neatest jobs I have ever seen (ie I researched the operation etc to death on youtube and google), I cannot credit him enough, his work was like magic and I know he and his team worked very late on that day to ensure my operation goes ahead as planned, thank you doctor. The nurses who worked long hours was always ready with a smile and ever so helpful even though they must be wrecked from the long hours on their feet. I felt like I was in safe hands and even left with a smile and a positive attitude towards my recovery which is a true testament of how fantastic the staff were. I am truly grateful and won’t get that awful feeling of dread the next time when I come back for the left leg. I appreciated their follow-up and willingness to answer questions also. A big thank you to all of them.
