"Treated with courtesy and a bit of humour"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Ambulatory Care

(as the patient),

I had been referred for minor surgery on a sebaceous cyst in my back by my GP.

After about 8 weeks I was called for a 9.30am appointment at FVR for surgery by a nurse practitioner. The appointment was called pretty much on time and I was treated with courtesy and a bit of humour. After about 25 minutes the treatment was complete. The only discomfort was the injections of local anaesthetic (which were sore!) but quickly after that there was no discomfort at all and later only minor discomfort when the anaesthetic wore off.

Thank you for leaving feedback about your recent visit to our clinic which I have shared with our team. I am pleased your procedure went well. We like to keep the atmosphere in the clinic as light as possible whilst at the same time being professional, it helps to ease what can be an anxious time.

I hope your wound is healing well.

Thanks again

Kirsty
