"In patient in Ward 103"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Acute Short Stay Medicine

(as the patient),

I have just spent 3 days as an inpatient in ward 103 ARI the staff on this ward are absolutely amazing and that includes everybody who works here. The nurses/care assistants are the most professional team and so caring even when short staffed. I felt very safe and understood and reassured during my stay. The ward is so clean and domestic staff are friendly and professional. Special thanks to Chloe who is newly qualified and has so much empathy and knowledge. The charge nurse on this ward has a wonderful team and patients are lucky to be looked after on this ward. Thank you.

Dear AlbaB

Many thanks for taking the time to share your experience whilst you were in ward 103.

I am delighted to hear that your experience was so positive and that you felt safe and the staff provided reassurance to you. We aim to provide person centred care to all our patients and sounds like we achieved this during your stay.

I will share your comments with all the staff, especially Chloe, the domestic team and Senior Charge Nurse Brooks - they will all be so pleased to hear of the positive impact that they made on you, during your 3 day stay in the ward.

I hope that you are recovering well at home and thanks again for your kind and positive comments.

With best wishes

Fiona Robertson

Chief Nurse
