"referral to consultant"

After researching the Circle on the internet I requested a referal from my GP as I was not happy at all after being referred to a Lincoln based consultant at Grantham hospital.

The request went through and a appointment was made for a consultation with a particular consultant in the respiritory dept.at the Circle Notts.

I wrote a big list of questions I required the answers to before attending my appointment.

The consultant fetched me from the waiting room to the consulting room himself which I thought was a nice touch.

It was clear he had already read my notes in depth prior to my arrival,

He confirmed a few details and then proceeded to explain why this was happening, what was causing it, the physical effects and detailed run down of what was happening, the things that could be done to reduce chances of it happening again, a detailed explanation of the possible outcomes of this happening again etc etc.

I never had to take my question list out of my bag as everything was answered without me having to ask any questions at all.

This was done in a relaxed, friendly and detailed manner with apparently no concern as to how long this would take.

No clock watching or ushering towards the door. This consultation was only going to end when he was happy that everything had been explained to my satisfaction and I was fully informed and relaxed with the prognosis and further treatment required,

It is a long time since I experienced a consultation like this as in past I have found them very stressful and lacking any useful or practical information.

The consultant is a polite,decent and respectful person who conducts himself in a friendly and professional manner. He is a also concerned about the perception that the patient leaves with and that they are fully informed.

Best consultant or medical professional I have ever been to see.

A very very good doctor with great bedside manner and a very decent, nice and understanding person .

My whole experience visiting the Circle was both enjoyable and very informing.(apart from the parking which was a little frustrating).

Access good, staff helpful and friendly and a great consultant.

Based on my experience I would recommend the Circle to anyone.

Thankyou to the consultant for both putting myself and my husbands mind at rest and fully preparing us for any future issues that may occur and providing all the information we need to deal with these issues if they do occur.

Great consultation. I never thought I would hear myself saying that after recent experiences with the health service in our area. So pleased we traveled to the Circle.
