About: Airedale General Hospital / Clinical haematology

I have recently completed 4 months of chemotherapy treatment at Airedale Hospital.

I attended the Haematology and Oncology Day Unit for all of my treatment.

I cannot praise the staff on this unit highly enough. Excellent team work is evident. The staff are very caring, kind and remain cheerful in a very busy environment.

They are very thorough and demonstrate high levels of expertise.

The unit can at times feel cramped, despite the addition of the Chemotherapy bus. I hope that Airedale Hospital can provide a larger more comfortable unit for patients in the future.

We are pleased to hear that you have had such a positive experience in our Haematology and Oncology Day Unit (HODU) at Airedale Hospital. Thank you also for sharing your feedback that the unit can still feel cramped at times, this is despite the recent addition of our new Mobile Cancer Care Unit This kind of feedback is very helpful in supporting the development of our business plan to increase the on-site capacity of HODU, in conjunction with the Mobile Cancer Care Unit. We will share your extremely positive feedback with the staff on the unit.
