About: Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust

I was recently at the end of my tether. I couldn't put up with things anymore. I seriously thought about ending it all. Someone gave me the telephone number for the Emotional Wellbeing Service. I gave them a ring. No answer. I phone again no answer. I called a third time. No answer. I tried 5 more times throughout the day. Each time no answer. Does anyone actually work there? I tried the following day. Again no answer. In the end I drove down there. I couldn't find anywhere to park. When I finally parked the car at Asda I pressed the buzzer on the front door. After pressing it for several minutes someone answered. They told me to phone! I told them that I had phoned lots of times but no-one answered. They clearly weren't listening to me as they kept telling me to phone to book an appointment. I gave up.

I'm lucky, I've got money and so can go private. I'm also blessed with a supportive family. Imagine if I were skint and alone. What then?

How difficult is it to pick up a phone, even if it is your break! WHat's more important, eating your bacon butty and sipping your earl grey, or taking a call from someone in distress? Come on, get your act together Emotional Wellbeing Service!
