I was diagnosed mid/late August 18 and started 12 cycles of Chemo on 12th September 18.
The timing, consultants, and specialist cancer nurse engagement is excellent.
The multiple chemo cycles are on going and all the staff in the chemo wards (7a) are very professional, kind and caring.
There does appear to be an issue with the supply of the chemo drugs from pharma to the chemo ward - often causing delays in the chemo ward and causing backlog and real frustrations for the dedicated chemo ward staff.
At times I have had to wait several hours for chemo pharma to supply chemo drugs to the chemo wards.
I would like to understand what the real problem is with this?
Overall I am very satisfied with my consultant, specialist cancer nurse and all the staff in the Chemo wards 7a.
I get angry when I hear people complain about NHS services - my experience has been positive and appreciate services can be stretched - but overall Barts provide me with a fantastic service.
Thanks to all involved in my treatment and care/
