Dear Team,
I would like to thank and praise everyone in A&E at Ealing Hospital who treated my father.
My brother and I brought my father into hospital just before midnight. His eye on his right side had a delayed opening and his mouth had become lopsided with slurred speech, with a BP of 238/134. We thought he was having a stoke.
We were seen immediately, triaged and sent to A&E. The Charge Nurse Mr Fernandes was just brilliant. He put us all at ease and knew exactly what to say and do. He was so thorough, warm and professional. He managed to take my dads bloods without him even noticing! I cannot speak more highly of this charge nurse, and I thank god that there are people like him working for the NHS.
My father was seen by an FY2 Dr Jain who was great too. He explained everything and was very patient with my dad, who hates hospitals and was scared stiff. We were then seen by the registrar (who’s name I do not know) who did more tests on my dad. I believe we were then seen by the consultant Abrahim? (I do not know his surname.) Abrahim was absolutely fantastic. He confirmed my dad’s diagnosis, Bells Palsy with a head CT, and took so much time to chat with him. He was in fact on his way home, but still he made sure my dad was given the correct treatment and reassured us that everything would be ok.
My father was discharged around 4am.
I can’t express how grateful I am that we were given such outstanding care. Ealing hospital’s A&E is a shining beacon in our NHS and I cannot be more grateful for the care my father received. The staff there are the most genuine and truly professional I have ever come across. I would be so happy if you could kindly pass my feedback on to the A&E department, and to the specific members of staff who cared for my Papa.
Much love and thanks,
"To the members of staff who cared for my Papa:"
