What I liked
What I liked? Nothing...
This hospital has terrible staff -
I was scheduled to undergo a Colectomy and J-Pouch operation (7 hour operation), after I woke-up from the anaesthetic I was treated like a rag doll by the nursing staff.
I was under the charge of a nurse who ignored me many times when I asked for pain killers and when I pressed the buzzer for assistance when I was bleeding from my bandage she blatantly walked right past my bed and didn't even look at my direction. Her attitude towards me was on the verge of prejudice.
I was in the hospital approximately 3 weeks and was moved from ward to ward at least 4 times.
All in all - The surgeon done a great job with the surgery, but my treatment afterwards by the nursing staff was disgusting.
I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone.
What could be improved
Employ people who have a genuine desire to work as a nurse and offer support to patients.
Hiring people just to make up the numbers breads empathy, unprofessionalism and hate towards patients.
Anything else?
A great surgeon - Thanks for saving my life.
