I attended Chorley Urgent Care centre last night after enduring severe 4 days of head & neck pain after a fall. I had been trying to get an appointment at my doctors but non were available . As the pain was not getting any less I felt that I needed some sort of treatment / advice but I did not think I needed to attend A & E as it was not life threatening . After 2 hours I was seen by the triage nurse, think she was a sister. She was so unpleasant & asked what my Doctor had said about my condition - this puzzled me as I would not have been there if I had seen my GP - she made me feel like I was being a nuisance & should not be there. Whilst I understand the need for her to examine my condition she was very rough with me & did aggravate my pain. She made me feel so uncomfortable , that I was wasting her time. She showed me the door & asked me to return to the waiting room & wait for the Doctor. I left the room saying thank you, to which she replied nothing. I have always held our NHS staff with a very high regard but staff like that let down the truly excellent staff in the trust. May be she needs to make a career change where she is not dealing hands on with people. I was so disappointed .
"Disappointed"
